About the Chamber:
The US-India Chamber of Commerce DFW (USICOC-DFW) is the premier Indian Chamber of Commerce in Texas representing over 200 corporate members and sponsors in DFW. The Chamber supports professional, economic, and business development throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth region, to facilitate commerce between Indian-owned businesses and corporate America, and to facilitate trade between the United States and India. With the phenomenal growth rate of the Indian community in DFW, the rising economic purchasing power of the Indian community and the explosion of the Indian economy over the last few decades, we believe that it is the Chamber’s responsibility to help bring these diverse groups together to facilitate lasting partnerships and create opportunities for further growth and development.
Job Description:
The USICOC DFW Intern will support the Chamber by assisting with Member Database Management, Event Preparation, and General Office Administration. Examples of work include:
- Member Database Management
- Upload past membership documentation
- Match/merge duplicate entries
- Register and update event attendees
- Create reports for Chamber staff and Board Members
- Complete missing entries for existing records
- Event Preparation
- Inventory and pack supplies
- Ensure printouts are accurate and organized
- Update and test registration tablets
- General Business and Office Administration
- Sort, file, and archive documents
- Special projects for Chamber President
Job Requirements
- Completed two years of undergraduate education
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, proofreading, and editing
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent Organizational skills
- Experience working with MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and Power Point) and Google Docs
- CRM and customer service experience are great, but not required
